Thanks for taking the time to read this slightly delayed update!
The big news is that all of the studio work for the CD is done! No, this is not some kind of late April Fool's joke or some kind of new definition of the word "done." It really is finished. The next step is to send it off to get printed (or is it burnt nowadays...), then it won't be long before it becomes available to you.
Of course, you can always get a taste of things to come at CD Baby and iTunes.
Upcoming gigs are on the schedule below. For more info, check out their websites: Marker 20 & Artist Underground Cafe
In addition to the gigs on the schedule below, we will be playing J.M. Randalls in WIlliamsburg on May 2.
There is one additional bit of news: Bill Strack has announced that he will no longer be associated with Prometheus Clay. It didn't take long to find his replacement though. Morten Harket, formerly of the Norwegian power trio a-ha, expressed great joy in being selected as Strack's vocal replacement by saying "Stor! Nå JEG kanne kvitte seg med denne lukt av herring det omringe meg!"
Zamfir, who will be replacing Strack's guitar with his legendary pan flute, was not available for comment at this time. He was last seen carrying a case of ouzo and a bag of pork rinds into his hotel room, and was heard muttering something about showing everyone something they will never forget at the Artist Underground Cafe gig.
OK, so maybe that was some kind of late April Fool's joke. Or maybe not. You'll just have to go to the Artist Underground Cafe and find out...

We have a very busy March ahead of us, so we thought we would get the word out a little early.
Things start off with a bang this weekend at J.M. Randalls in Williamsburg . This Saturday (March 1), we will be sharing the stage with Gongzilla. We will be playing from 9:45 to 11:45, and Gongzilla will be finishing out the night. If you haven't heard these guys before, come and check them out. If you can't make it, check out their My Space page in the link. You won't be disappointed.
On Saturday March 8, we will be in Richmond at Artist Underground Cafe performing an acoustic set. You know you want to hear "Dust" acoustically... Maybe even "Sweet Destination..."
We will be back in Richmond on March 20 (Thursday) at 10 pm at The Canal Club. This is part of the 102.1 The X Local Xposure showcase series. As great as it would be to have you there supporting just us, it's even better to support the great local music scene as a whole.
March 22 (Saturday) will find us once again in Hampton at Marker 20.
There are some new tracks over at our My Space Page.
And the CD is still imminent. No kidding.
Thanks for your continued support!

A bit of news that just couldn't wait for the February update:
Prometheus Clay will be playing the The NorVa next Friday (Feb 1)!
Here's the deal. It's a showcase of 4 local bands. The prize is another NorVa gig opening up for Blind Melon on March 4th. Showtime is 7pm.
Tickets are 10 bucks in advance, 13 bucks day of the show at the door. You can get them by emailing booking@prometheusclay.com, at Kelley's Backstage Tavern (located behind the NorVa), all Ticketmaster outlets and norvatickets.com
As an extra incentive, we will be giving away T-shirts and CDs to folks that show up to support us.
Speaking of CDs, if you want to hear 3 of the finished tracks, check out the TunePak. The final versions of Dedicated, Cool, and Born in the End are up. Please give them a listen, and let us know what you think!
Check the calendar for more dates, including Marker 20 on February 8.
Thanks for your support!

We are pleased to announce that Mark Augustine has joined Prometheus Clay! Mark brings a new dimension to our sound with his keyboards. Don't miss his grand debut at Tanner's Creek in Norfolk on December 7 at 10pm.
Of course, Mark's coming also brings a slight delay to the release of our Evil Dreams CD as he will be spending some time in the studio adding his touch to the tracks that have already been laid down.
If you just can't wait for the completed CD to hit, you can get a copy of the 5 song EP from CD Baby or iTunes to hold you over. That is if you haven't gotten ahold of it already.
Thanks to everyone who turned out up at Toad's Place in Richmond a few weeks ago to check out PC in support of The Fabulous Thunderbirds. It was a great gig!
Don't forget to check the gig schedule!

Thanks to Toad's Place in Richmond for having us play the Fabulous Thunderbirds show. It was a pleasure playing there and we look forward to coming back.

The show at the Matoaka Amphitheatre was a huge success. Thirteen hundred tickets were sold; the place was rather packed to see Carbon Leaf, Shane Cooley and the Aviators, and Prometheus Clay. All around, an awesome show; those who were there can attest to that. Additionally, this was a fundraiser for the PIPE Fund (Providing Indoor Plumbing for Everyone).
And I thought it'd be difficult to match last week's show at Marker 20...

Marker 20 turned out very well! Probably one of our best shows yet.
Unfortunately, we are not playing at Toad's Place.

We've been quite busy with the album; it is still a work in progress.
We're going to play at Tanners Creek in Norfolk on the twenty first of this month. They're good people, so come see us. Also, we're opening for Umphrey's McGee on October 16th. It is a ticketed show at Toad's Place in Richmond. Tickets are available at etix.com. Lastly, on October 19th, we're playing in our hometown, Williamsburg, at the Matoaka Ampitheater.
Hell. Just look at the schedule below.
